No wifi after update

I've looked all over the place but I can't find a solution anywhere.
Last week I updated my Retropie box so I could have the latest Kodi.
I also chose to update the OS.
After the reboot I had no more wifi.
Just doesn't do anything, can't see any network.
I tried a reinstall and everything, even downgraded firmware with rpi-update but nothing seems to work.Can anyone suggest what might have caused this and how to fix it?
