hello, sorry for my english because I'm not...but I make an effort...

I've got a RaspPI3B and a Hifiberry DAC+ standard but I don't know how to make it works under retropie?
How should I do? I found nothing on the forum, only persons with volume control problems so I assume that i'm really dumb :-/

I have tested my material with another program just for sound. everything works.

but in the raspberry configuration in the retropie menu I can see my hifiberry card

      for exemple: RETROPIE-SETUP SCRIPT --> C CONFIGURATION / TOOLS --> 801 audiosetting - configure audio settings -->

      4 choises:
      1 AUTO
      2 HEADPHONES - 3.mm jack
      3 HDMI
4 MIxer - adjust output volume
      R Reset to default

in the fouth menu, I press F6 in the popup there is:

      • (default)
        0 bcm2835 ALSA
        1 snd_rpi_hifiberry_dacplus
        enter device name...

I select 1 snd_rpi_hifiberry_dacplus and I can See playback and capture volume for my Hifiberry card...but I can't select it. It's always bcm2835 ALSA witch is chosen...

      I hope i'm understable...?

      thx a lot!

        more informations:

        in the Raspi-config:

"7 Advanced options" --> "A4 Audio Force Audio out through HDMI or 3.5mm jack" --> "choose the audio output" there is only :

        0 Auto
        1 Force 3.5mm ...
        2 force hdmi

The options to enable Hifiberry are not going to be in the RetroPie-Setup Script

You're going to have to follow the directions from Hifiberry's website:
