While playing a game without holding any buttons games just go back to the emulation station menu.
I tested this by just turning a game on and letting it run while no one was near the controller after a couple of minutes games will just go back to the menu on there own. (sometimes it takes hours sometimes minutes) Also sometimes it opens the retroarch menu on it's own. I am using the wii u pro controller with bluetooth connection and this happens on all emulators. Is there a way to fix this? I also use a 2A power supply and a raspberry pi 3B

Nothing will work. You need 5V. Do you mean 2A? If so, you need 2.5A for a Pi3. You have failed to provide the essential information listed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first so no further assistance is meaningful or possible.
