My new theme "Sceuomorph"
-
Hello everebody!
I imagine my new theme. as a basis I used the "material" theme, but from her almost nothing left.
it involved only 5 systems (nes, snes, psx, gba & megadrive). I made her for themselves, so they are so few. Of course, you can add images to the absence of a system, if desired.
I've been thinking, what design should be in such a product, and stopped at the recent outdated trend Apple.
I decided to abandon minimalism in favor of a skeuomorphic design (some of the images have been taken from the project OpenEmu). And it seems like I get a good result.
Instead of covers I uploaded screenshots from the games, and fit them into the same aspect ratio (4:3). This was the most difficult, since no one way of scraping not give tangible results. I had to do everything manually.I apologize for the photos. I do not know how to take a screenshot on the RPi.

@frgn Very nice. Here's a little tool called raspi2png which will take screenshots on the Pi. http://www.knight-of-pi.org/making-screenshots-on-a-raspberry-pi-with-raspi2png/

@frgn Another option for screenshots is to use one of the Windows builds to make your theme. Then you can screenshot and capture video straight on your desktop. I also find it much faster than developing the theme directly on the Pi.

Excellent. Love the use of the old Arcade font too.
Don't suppose there is any way to show a video snap first, and default to a screenshot if there isn't a video available. I find having the video snaps very useful for discovering new games. Can i ask how many other systems you plan to produce this for? I only ask as I'm a retrohead that enjoys AMIGA, SAM COUPE, SPECTRUM, C64 and most other systems of the 80s :)

@nevsan all I could find - is in this archive. AMIGA, SAM COUPE, SPECTRUM, C64 is not there. sorry.

Thanks frgn, those are lovely :)
You don't know who originally produced these renders do you? -
@nevsan obviously, the developers OpenEmu :)

I use the old arcade font on all my themes. Love it.
