Retropie - x86 Flavor - where to put themes (solved)

Rpi 3
RetroPie 4.1
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS x86 Flavor

Where to put downloaded themes?

Ive tried retropie/emulationstation/themes/ and theme folder and in this case "zoid".

Then when I start retropie again only Carbon is showing up.

What is the right folder structure?

Ok now I tried this path but same same no go.

retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/themes/zoid (themefolder).

I cant seem to find any info when I search about this either hmm...

Can someone plz help me :)

Btw, the themes I am downloading are not in emulationstation.

@Kischa You can download some themes via the theme installer (esthemes) from retropie-setup.

if manually intalling themes they go in /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/themes/

(so the theme is in a subfolder there).

@BuZz Sorry to bother you again but now I dont see any /opt folder in home dir? I have show hidden folder on.

Do I need to create a folder and name it opt and move retropie folder into that one? naah?

@Kischa it's not in the home directory. It's a path from root /opt = / means the root folder.
