Cardboard Mini NES + Nes mini and Famicom mini themes

Cool. The slow load time is something I've noticed as well. Hopefully (and most likely) the smaller file sizes will fix the problem!

: Off Topic,
i was just going through my NES collection and noticed that Castlevania is not displaying fully,
heres a pic i took via retroarch:-
heres a screen i got off google as a comparison,
ive no idea how to fix the screen to display fully
any ideas?

You can turn off cropping in the core options menu.
-
Also, changing the emulator fixes this problem.
-
@momaw27
That's true. However, I believe lr-quicknes is the only NES emulator that doesn't crop by default. While lr-nestopia's cropping is only done horizontally by default, it still presents the same problem in some other games. All in all there aren't to many games affected by this to begin with, due to most being designed for over-scan originally. -

Slowly making progress. The famicom-mini theme is now fully updated to 1080p and I'm now working on the Nes-mini theme. I've also finished off a few more logos ready for the next batch of systems so thought I'd show those now. These were all drawn by myself with the exception of the 'Famicom' logo which was copied from the real Famicom mini menu, I did however draw the Katakana that is displayed beneath (hopefully without any mistakes).

WOW !!!! they look amazing, great work
-
Yeah dude, that Genesis logo is amazing!!!!

Found this on Reddit and just came here to say this theme is looking amazing!! Can't wait to see the finished version. Keep up the good work!!
-
Love this theme :)
I'm going to go with a Pi Zero/NES only set-up so this will go perfect with it.
Hopefully see a new version #soon
:)

@ruckage awesome! I love these themes. Just curious though, why didnt you put the logos on bottom and the button info up top?

Hi @edmaul69,
Honestly, I hadn't even considered putting the logos at the bottom. For me personally it seems far more natural to have them at the top as they are essentially a title.

Not sure if its been asked already but any chance of adding a PS1 section?

I'll put it on the todo list, if anyone has requests for other systems let me know here.

Awesome work! :)
-
Thank you for all your hard work @ruckage !!!!

@ruckage Finally had a chance to test out the theme. First off it's MUCH faster than the previous versions.
But, I am running into a problem with not being able to see the menu art (system selector art)... everything else works great.
Anyone else having this issue?
Thanks again for my one of my top 3 favorite themes!
-
@ruckage Absolutely amazing. This is my favorite Emulation Station theme ever. YOU KILLED IT!
Two things though:
- System logos on the main screen aren't working for me (I'm using a Pi Zero)
- Game names with accents and some other symbols don't display correctly. (i.e. Pokémon or 720º)
Otherwise, this is perfect.
I also added the NES Classic music using the tutorial you linked and runcommand splash screens to my build so it feels even more complete.

Installed the theme on the PI3 I use for testing/messing around on & all was good.
Until i updated RetroPie to the latest version then all (apart from Gameboy for some reason) the system logos on the main menu vanished.
