retropi wont boot after update

i just orderd a retropie.
got it since yesterday.
i played some snes and nes games yesterday.
today i wanted to connect a wireless ps3 controller.
i read its always better to do a update first.
so i updated the retropie script.
its says mame would split up and i might need to update packages before it would work out.
so i updated the packages after the script update.
the i got this msg:
could not install package(s): libvlc-dev libvlccore-dev vlc-nox.
when i reboot i get a black screen which asks me retropie login.
enterd username : pi and password : raspberry
after that its says : pi@retropie:~ $
when i wrote nohup emulationstation &
i get [1] 1252
pi@retropie:~ $ nohup: ignoring input and appending output to ■nohup.ou■
