@FlyingTomahawk "pub yellow" ones sell for $70+ all day long on eBay. Like I said, that's $30 is the high end. I'd obviously rather spend as little as possible.
What I'm really actively seeking is a super clean, functioning, DMG-colored Pocket that isn't $60, or $260 (CIB ones are crazy expensive). I check eBay daily for those. I also recently noticed that some have a power LED and some do not. I'm guessing the power LED came later. The ones without a power LED have an orange part on the power slider to let you know that it's turned on. The ones with a power LED have a power slider that's all one color. Now that I know I can get a repro screen from Mortoff Games, that makes the search easier. The intent is to keep it totally stock, if modded at all I would add a backlight, but I won't be cutting up a clean, working, rare Pocket for a Raspberry Pi.
I'm considering making a Pocket Pi, with SFC colored action buttons, but for something like that I'm looking at getting a broken one of any color and painting it, since even totally gnarly DMG-colored Pockets are quite expensive. Of course, right now I have 3 handheld projects started and two more I'm thinking of (Altoids and DMG), so I have plenty to do. :)

So I should charge more to edmaul69? (evil)
Just kidding....
$70+ for yellowish is a bit much but if they still run then I guess that's how much it is.
My Famicoms don't run or are untested. They are only good for RPi projects. -
@FlyingTomahawk I knew you were going to get back into the video game selling business. :) After @edmaul69's comment about the micro I've been looking into those more, but wow, they must be extremely rare, or they break a lot, or something. They're all VERY expensive.

I was looking around at modded Pockets thinking that it would be cool to make a SFC-themed one similar to how I'm building my GBA. then I saw this. It's from the first known guy to put a Pi3 in a pocket. Oh yes. I think I need to do this*
*once I finish at least one of the half-started builds I'm currently working on. Who am I kidding, I'm looking at parts right now

@FlyingTomahawk i am completely ok with you shipping the items when you can, but i would really like to pay you at least $60 now so i have the money out of my hands. Im not sure how we are going to do that, but i do use paypal.

Find my e-mail address in my profile.
Send me an e-mail with your address so that i can get you an exact quote.
I have a paypal account, I'll just send you my paypal address via e-mail.
We can talk about the price also via e-mail. -
@FlyingTomahawk i sent an email. Thank you my friend.

Guess what showed up today.
Yes, the Mausberry. After exactly 2 months I received it. I almost forgot what I wanted to do with it. -
@FlyingTomahawk Oh wow. I still think that they forgot about your order until you filed a complaint with PayPal. It's a shame, but as someone said, there's not a lot of competition for those devices, so they can get away with it. :-/

@FlyingTomahawk I'll take it.

I have a bid in for a barely used, white AGB-001 with a soft case and wall adapter. Hopefully that doesn't get too astronomically priced before the auction ends tonight. Even the back is really nice.
While checking in on things on eBay I decided to look at Game Boy Light (MGB-101) listings, and wow. I thought the "light gray" Pockets were pricey. I think I'll stick with finding a decent Pocket and then backlight modding it myself.
Then again, it seems like pretty much all the Pockets I'm seeing are going for "a lot" (at least $30) if they're in working order where the screen doesn't have bad pixels, isn't corroded, has the battery cover, stickers on the back aren't mangled, etc.
-
Woo hoo! I won the auction for the white AGB-001! It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but bidding went up at the end, and well, it's the cleanest one I've seen in a while. I think for $30 I paid a decent price considering it comes with a case and AC adapter. Those soft cases are selling for around $8 - $13, and the AC adapters with the battery pack adapter are $20 - $23 right now.
Now to wait for it to come in the mail. Hopefully it doesn't take as long as a Mausberryβ¦

Congratulations!
That white GBA looks very good. -
@FlyingTomahawk thanks! It's not as cheap as one at Hard Off I'm sure, but the air fare was cheaper π
You know, this is all your fault. Haha.
