Hey guys, so I did a stupid thing. In the Mame4all emulator, I accidentally selected none for the input for the menu. Now I cant press TAB to access the menu anymore. No other keys will work either.

I have been reading multiple threads that say to delete the default config file found here /opt/retropie/configs/mame-mame4all/cfg/default.cfg

I deleted the default.cfg file and the cfg files which were specific to certain games. From what I understand, this is supposed to reset to default configurations. Then I can just restart the system and then TAB should work to bring up the Mame menu... but it doesn't. Anyone have any pointers of what to do? Is there anyway I can recreate the default.cfg file myself? Do I have to be connected to the internet for this file to come back?

Thank you in advance! And I apologize, I am very new to all of this!

@abductedbanana as far as I understand it you can just reinstall mame4all from the setup script and it should generate the config (yes you will an internet connection to do this)

@herb_fargus awesome, thanks for the response! How do I access the setup script? Do I insert the raspberry pi's SD card into my PC and reinstall it this way? Or is there an 'on board' way to do this within the pi itself?
