Transfer roms from image?
-
So here is my question, I'm trying to transfer ROMs from my image from Pi to my PC. I have Pi and PC connected to the same Wi-Fi. But for some reason I can't connect through \RETROPIE or IP address, cuz it won't connect. And I have no access to the router. So is there any other way of doing this, I have like 5 images I wanna take roms from and make My own image.
-
@lckool20 you need to use
\\RETROPIE
2 backslashes, not forward-slashes. -
@AlexMurphy Ya, I just tried wrong on here, thanks
-
@lckool20 Or download and use winSCP on a PC.
-
@AlexMurphy tried that too, still no work
-
@AlexMurphy the problem is, even though I'm on the same network, my pc won't recognize the pi IP address. And like I said I have no access to the router, cuz I share it with my neighbor
-
@lckool20 Can you ping the Pi from the PC and vice versa? Is your PC maybe connected to the 5GHz frequency and the Pi to the 2.4. I know some routers split these so they are essentially 2 separate networks.
-
@lckool20 If all else fails stick a USB drive in and manually transfer the files.
-
@AlexMurphy the router does have both 2 and 5, my pc and Pi are connected through the 2. And how would I transfer roms from Pi to a USB, I know how to put roms on USB from pc, then plug into Pi. But not the other way

@lckool20 You can either do it using a desktop environment (if you have one installed) or use the command line. Have a read of this https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/linux/usage/commands.md
