Need help for mounting /roms to a hdd
-
Hi,
I try to mount /home/pi/RetroPie/roms into my HDD.
Unfortunately I can't get it to work.I did:
sudo mv -v /home/pi/RetroPie/roms* /media/usb0/RetroPiels -l /dev/disk/by-uuid/
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 Mar 26 00:56 6aa03a50-631e-4a68-92ed-1e0119c35137 -> ../../mmcblk0p2
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Mar 26 00:56 74BE72F5BE72AF6C -> ../../sda1
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 Mar 26 00:56 8FE5-3435 -> ../../mmcblk0p1sudo nano /etc/fstab
UUID=74BE72F5BE72AF6C /home/pi/RetroPie/roms ntfs nofail,user,uid=pi,gid=pi 0 2I guess that /roms is only mounted to /media/usb0 and not to /media/usb0/Retropie/roms
How can i solve this problem?
Thanks for any help -

I tried it with this tutorial, but i guess the UUID method only works by mounting just to the root of the hdd and not to a specfic folder.

@Muffy it mounts to a specific folder on the harddrive. It's called
retropie-mount
you have to create it. Just follow the automatic method -
The only "gotcha" with the automatic method that I found was that it copies over the folder structure and the base BIOS files, but not the files in the
retropiemenu
folder, or any of the ROMs. It was easy enough to fix, but other than that one little hiccup, it works really well for me. -
I've tried now the automatic method, but i can't get it running. :(
I've created the retropie-mount folder and retropie created the subfolders like "roms" and so on.
If i browse through the folders via ssh/WinSCP, it looks like everything is correct mounted.BUT RetroPie doesn't show my games.
Any suggestions?

I think i give it up. :(
The automatic method doesn't work for me.
Everything should be correct mounted, but the games don't show up.
