What games are you playing this week? 2017-03-27

Let's chat about what games we're playing this week.
-
Genesis Landstalker good times
-
Tom clancy's ghost recon wildlands (Uplay PC). I have discovered about 95% of the map but I've still got a lot of collectibles to pick up (currently at 67%).
-
Shantae: Half Genie Hero

I just played through Porky's for the Atari 2600. My older brother owned it back in the day and I knew it was supposed to be an adult game by way of the movie it was adapted from. Having now played through the completely unedited "shower scene", all I can say is HOTCHIE MOTCHIE!!... Just look at those curves!

Nothing! Decorating....sad times! Schools break up for Easter Holidays in the UK though at the end of the week (2 weeks!) so really want to be finishing SMW so I can make a start on the never-played Super Metroid...
-
I've actually been working on my Pi projects this week after work, so I haven't been gaming much, but this week's MAME ROW is Captain Commando, a game I'd not heard of before, but it looks really good and I've been enjoying it so far. It reminds me of playing Final Fight at a friend's house on Super Nintendo back in the 90s.
-
Just finished Super Metroid, 69% at 6:59.
I'm wondering if I should take on Super Probotector or Super Castlevania IV next...

I've just finished putting together the official Nintendo Game Guide in PDF format-having never played Super Metroid properly (maybe an hour of it about 7 or 8 months ago, and that was using a keyboard so not properly) I didn't realise you got different endings based on the finish time. Guess thats where Save states are going to come in handy! Looks quite involved though, and although I'll have the guide to hand i'm loathed to use it as i want a proper learning experience (with save states haha!).

Just received a fresh bottle of my favourite whisky ("The Ileach") and me and my son had our first glass while playing "Metal Slug" in co-op.
Live can be so easy....Have a nive week you all,
SK

Jup, just decided. Zelda - Link's Awakening for GameBoy (original greayscale version).
-
Just started a character in 'Castle of the winds' - system: Windows 95.

I haven't played that one but I've heard it's a classic!

You totally should try it! My one complaint is that the dungeons at a moment's notice flip from silly difficulty to extreme difficulty and you will have some encounters that feel like the kobayashi maru.
How do you like wildlands? I own it but haven't played yet.

Indiana Jones Fate of Atlantis (Dos version / ScummVM)

@tyreal90
When/if I get some free time, I want to try your installing Windows 95 thread and then I'll give Castle of the Winds a try!How do you like wildlands? I own it but haven't played yet.
I am having a lot of fun with it but there is a few bugs here and there. Also I only get about 45m-1h game time a day (or less) but on Saturday I got to play it pretty much all day long and I'm about 85-90% through the game (including all the collectibles). I have a friend I can play co-op with and we tackle the main missions and some side missions and if he can't play, I'll go after the collectibles and the other side missions (he does the same if I can't play).
I'm excited about the future content updates! PvP 4 vs 4, racing and monster trucks! Make sure to watch the Post-Launch & Season Pass Trailer from this site:
