Configure Intro video

So I'm trying to use mp4 videos that I found on the web, but they all keep cutting off, and the video won't finish playing. Anything special thing I need to do? I would also like to cancel the "ES is loading" screen and just go right to the emulators as soon as the video is done. Appreciate any help.

@edm203 To turn off the white ES Loading screen add the line
<bool name="SplashScreen" value="false" />to/home/pi/.emulationstation/es_settings.cfg -
