April 1st - ho ho :-)
-
And now we can resume normal service with no-one reading the documentation ;-)
Cheers!
(For those that missed it the forum was redirected temporarily to http://lmgtfy.com/?q=retropie+documentation).
-
If that was a test to see if people would read the docs, it didn't work.
-
I almost cried. :( browsing the forums gets me through my work day and suprisingly this is the only site that isn't blocked at my work.
-
Damn you all! :P
-
It was bumming me out :( i was hoping it was an april fools joke.
-
I took the time to get to know me. Turns out I'm not a fan of me, so I started working on a new project; fruit punch flavored shoelaces. You know... for people who don't like the original flavor.
-
haha i thought i was creatively banned from the forums and i kept wondering all day what i posted that broke the rules. haha good joke!
-
You know this would have been funny if it did this and went to the forums. But it didn't. I have no probs with April 1st jokes but making it so that your community can't access a resource for a day is kind of messed up.
-
Your support sucks, and you just depend on your documentations of RetroPie to get you by @BuZz omg that couldn't be true eh? April Fools nigga!! JSC is here, enjoy the legacy !!
-
I find it funny how people demand free support for free software like we owe them more than what we already give for free. And yet when they are redirected to the answers to the questions they'd be asking on the forum anyways they get even more offended. I think we should have made the redirect permanent!
-
@herb_fargus i like how people create free modifications then think they can't support it because they got "documentation" i am a creator and a developer in a different realm i support what i do, even if its n00b questions or not.. there is no point of creating something free if your just a lazy ass hole that will not do shit all day with what you developed but sit there with your hand on your dick eating Twinkies all day , its horse shit, hell i been developing codes for over 20 years in different realms.. i support my shit, may not be right away i answer questions, but i do when i have time, i m known in the IbProArcade realm.
i was actually considering donating 50$ to RetroPie, but i will pass since i seen how poorly there support is.
-
Is this a bad time to ask when we're gonna get some new magazines for the lobby?
-
Where's the popcorn?
-
That was as funny as ass cancer.
-
@Lyle_JP glad you appreciated it. Serious overreactions here.
I forgot that we somehow owe you.
Feel free to use reddit instead.
-
Wow.. That outburst was unnecessary. When the forum was gone I was worried, but when I realised it was a joke I laughed- this was the only April fools joke that actually got me :P
Thank you guys for redirecting us to the documentation we never read :D
-
Seriously though, appreciate the work everyone puts in this project, and the users sharing projects and ideas and helping each other out, for free, in their own time. These people are awesome.
-
@BuZz i for one would like to apologize for his comments. Most of us dont feel that way at all. I have several friends who code retro video games as a side job/fun while working full time jobs as programmers. People have no clue how much work people who code do, let alone try to have a family life in between. If they truly understood how much people like you give without anything in return, they might not be complete d-bags. But then again, i know some d-bags who just dont care and its just all about them. I personally would like to say thank you for everything you have done. This has been one of the greatest experiences for me and i would love for it to keep continuing being great. There is a good community that has been and is really helpful in troubleshooting peoples problems so why some people still expect it to be done solely by you just baffles me. Thank you and take care my friend.
