@maciekish I think it would be the Odroid C2, on paper anyway. They are about $40-50 for the board. Here is a link showing the specs, they compare it to a Pi2 in this article. http://www.hardkernel.com/main/products/prdt_info.php

The odroid Xu4 is being worked on but at that point you may as well use lakka as it's functionally essentially the same

Great stuff, thanks. I'll go with the Odroid XU4. How far along is RetroPie support?

@maciekish idk, I don't have the board and there is no time table for it, just as the main dev has time. The Intel nuc is also something you may look at.

There isn't really a "best" board per se. It just depends on what your looking for in form, specs, and especially software support.

"I find the Pi 3B a bit lacking when it comes to psx games." I don't know what you mean with this exactly, I rarely play PSX games, but I think I never had a big problem running one on a slightly overclocked PI 2. Speed related is just fine, are you talking about graphical glitches, input lag or something like that ? I am not a pro with the Playstation, I never had one to compare, but seems pretty fine for me and the Pi 3 it can only be better. And if problems like that happens, it is mostly likely from the emulator implementation on the RPi, but still, I think the RPi is the best supported SBC for emulation in a sub 50$ dollars range at least.
I have a Odroid XU4, it is a pretty good SBC also, quite more powerfull than the Pi 3, but I never tested gaming emulation with it.

It is indeed. I emulate quite a few PSX games and I can't think of any issues I've had.

Same thing with me with psx speed. Never had any slowdown unless I turned on the hi red mode, and even then it wasn't that much.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but i have very evident slowdowns every now and then, particularly in Crash Bash. It can be clearly heard in the audio. I have tried all the recommended performance tweaks like using alsathread for audio etc.

I have an oc'd pi2 and only slowdowns I get are higher res ps1 games like Tekken3. I did hear the enhanced resolution setting CAN cause slowdowns on pi3's and that's what stopped me from upgrading.

Get any icons on upper right while playing? If you get a lightning bolt icon its because of power. If you get a temp icon its because of heat. I'm on retropie 4.2.1. I haven't changed anything but I use the crt-pi shader.

What about the Uudo x86 boards?
                        Could they run RetroPie?
