Libretro PocketCDG Karaoke
-
Please consider adding Karaoke support to experimental, based on the new pocketcdg libretro module
Ive tested the module on raspberry pi 3 this morning, and is working ok. Karaoke files have to be loaded with a .cdg extension and pocketcdg will look for a matching .mp3 file for the backing track.
Ive done a quick retropie script to test this morning which is building ok , wasn't 100% sure on the addsystem addemulator and ensuresystemretroconfig settings so consider it an example only (pastebin link)

@AmigaGamer
You should do a Pull Request to the RetroPie-Setup script:

@AmigaGamer so how do you make the pi work work with a microphone?
-
@edmaul69
You might be able to use a USB mic (maybe like the Guitar Hero microphone).Maybe something like this:

@backstander thats what i am hoping to find out. I would love to add a microphone to the 1000 other things i have on my pi. I have been hoping for a purpose to add one.

@backstander I still have a Guitar Hero Microphone, I even use it to record school projects.

Nice! I picked one up at a local Goodwill for like $1. I don't know if it works and I haven't done anything with it yet but I might try this Karaoke stuff with it lol.

For those interested, I just added a script for this core to my RetroPie-Extra repository: https://github.com/zerojay/RetroPie-Extra
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
