I would be interested in this as well. I've spent a ton of time and effort on my set-up and while I am all for giving free advice, instruction, scripts, and physical assistance, I do not want someone to just copy my entire work with zero effort. A lot of personal time and satisfaction has gone into this. Copying scripts and code is one thing but to just copy an sd card in lazy mode is another.

@Trailjacker Who is going to physically access your SD card and burn a copy of it against your will? This is the only way this could happen.

@itsnitro if someone SSHs and clones your SD card in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

@itsnitro SSH has to be on your home network. Unless you have ports opened to the dirty web. And then you have bigger problems than someone stealing your custom script for launching Castlevania

@itsnitro sorry. It was a bad attempt at a semi-joke.

His concern was about someone copying his image and how that would make him feel bad about it, so I was using a semi-famous philosophical question to ask "if someone does it without him knowing about it (be it via ssh or any other way), will it still bother him" :)

                  I'll exit stage now.

// Edit: oh. And I now see the typo of "first" instead of "forest". Yeah. I wouldn't get it either. Fixed that at least.

But I thought wax was used in honeycombs.

                                @AlexMurphy Nope, never.
@TMNTturtlguy That is funny. Side note: I used to be a big TMNT fan, and would always watch the TV Shows on YouTube.

@itsnitro Okay. Just exactly what sort of geek are you then? Huh?

                                    Back on topic... :)

I don't see why it couldn't be done, though you probably would need to encrypt it before installing anything on the partition.

                                    https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=125051

I'd imagine performance could suffer though.

As an alternative, if this is really a problem, maybe it's more manageable to move your ROMs to an USB disk and encrypt that. You'd then need to figure out how to mount the encrypted disk in Raspbian.

Edit: I actually never watched Guardians of the Galaxy either. Heard good things about it though.

@itsnitro Sorry, I realise you aren't really old enough to be watching it...

@pjft Load times would but I really don't see the benefit. To hide ROMs from people? Just get your ISP to cough it up!

Who knows, there are ways to get into someone's home network. I think people just want to be EXTRA safe.

@itsnitro Well, any time I'm online I always wear a crash helmet and a jock-strap. Just in case.
