Official raspberry pi 7" display with retropie

I'm new to raspberry pi and retro pi. I ordered the official raspberry pi 7" LCD touch display for another one of my projects and was wondering if it would work well with a retropie setup. Has anyone here tried it before? All the online tutorials use smaller displays so I wondering if this would work well of not.

@abhikapahi I'm using the official 7 inch and retro pie, both work perfectly. For many games the aspet ratio is incorrect as old school games ran at 4:3 but that's not the LCDs fault.
