Joystick not working on shenmue (dreamcast)

Hi! new here, im trying the sega dreamcast emulator and is working great, the only problem that i have is with the game shenmue, i dont know why but start and A/B/x/y button are working fine but i cant use the left stick on the menu so the only option that i have is select NO so im not able to start the game, any ideas why??? also got the same problem in MK gold, can use the buttons but no the analog stick i can only select secktor and punch but cant move! help!
