      I don't know when this change happened, but the latest retropie image has ssh disabled by default. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone else who was having this issue. To renenable, it's under the raspi-config options.

        @lostless It has been disabled by default on Raspbian since November 2016.

          @AlexMurphy ahh, thanks. It drove me nuts trying to log in to reboot when Kodi crashed and with no way to get in.

            WTF, really??? So then it ill be required having plugged the raspberry to a keyboard and a TV for the first time....

            I think this change is very annoying...

              @troyekto It was decided by the Raspberry Pi Foundation for security reasons. The RetroPie team also agree. It's very easy to enable.
