      @pattaboy

      Kodi 16 will slowly cease to function as further updates to the addons happen. Information on downgrading can be found here. However, If you want Kodi 17 to behave as reliably as 16, just start fresh without bringing over all the junk from a previous install and add everything back that you need from the repositories. It really doesn't take that long and then you'll have a reliable Kodi 17 install that you can duplicate for your family. I've done this myself and Kodi 17 is running beautifully.

          @pattaboy Don't use builds. How many times do people need to be told this? Find a skin you like, add a handful of addons that do what you want and you know work. Hey presto! Your own build, that works and isn't bloated with useless crap that grinds your system to a halt.

                Appreciate the concerns.. But I made the build myself for my friends and family.
                Just so they can use an update button if they run into issues. and I make an update for them here on my pc.

                I just dislike the new methods Kodi is using.

                anyways thanks guys!

                  Still didn't work. The packages of kodi 16.1 are deleted.

                    @pattaboy No, they are still available, they never were deleted:

                    Check this to downgrade to Kodi 16.1 Jarvis. You need to change the packages revision if you are using Pi 0 or 1:

                      Why not try upgrading it to KODI 17.3
