      I'm trying to run the game Parasite Eve 2 on PSX, but right at the beginning of the gameplay, the game freezes, but only the game, RetroArch keeps running and I can exit the game.

      I tested several versions, removed by admin

      Actually I have the image of SLUS-01042 in eboot with the other disks, downloaded directly from read the forum rules!

      I tested CD1 alone and also an image that merge all CDs into 1, every case had the same problem.

      I noticed no problem with other games

          @luizoti It's unplayable, don't bother. Also, remove the name of the websites where you got the game from.

              @darksavior Just not playable? Without any possibility of correction?

                @luizoti theres a fix option in the core options, but the fix doesnt work. Thus making it unplayable.

                      @edmaul69 We need a fix for the fix?

                      We must go deeper.

                        so it apparently runs without dynamic recompiler, but at that point it would be a slide show on the pi.

                          By my tests disabling the Dynamic Recompiler option all games are in slideshow, and Parasite Eve II does not even run without it, it hangs at the beginning of the first Cutscene after the New Game.

                          I tested running games with other disabled options, but it does not work the same way.

                            I have the same issue. I hope the upcoming Duckstation psx emulator will not have this problem.

                            I follow a suggestion from the above URL (https://github.com/libretro/pcsx_rearmed/issues/41#issuecomment-235270798) that dankcushions post, and the game doesn't freeze now !

                            I had to set psx cpu to 72
                            pcsx_rearmed_psxclock = "72"

                            My English isn't at a good level.
