I am having an issue setting up my WiFi I go into the retropi wifi config screen try and input my wep key as I normally would it says unable to connect I know its right but it still says unable to connect. So then I back out and then my keyboard stops responding please help.

Pi Model or other hardware: 3
Power Supply used: unsure it came with the Canakit
RetroPie Version Used 4.1 i believe
      Built From: From retropi site
USB Devices connected: keyboard and ps3 controller
      Controller used: PS3
      Error messages received: none
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant):
Guide used: (Mention if you followed a guide)
File: (File with issue - with FULL path)
Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable)
Attachment of config files: (PLEASE USE PASTEBIN.COM FOR LARGE LOGS)
How to replicate the problem: try to set up wifi I input my wep key and it says its incorrect I try and try again then I back out of the wifi setup then my keyboard stops responding i give it some time and it still doesnt respond so i pull the power which i know is bad but that the only way to turn it off.

@newpiguy I would recommend changing your router encryption to wpa. I can crack your WEP in like 20 seconds.

If you read the documentation it will answer 99% of your questions: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/

          That's true.
Also make sure you have enough clean power.

does your wifi key contain special characters? i had trouble logging in to wifi when first setting up my retropie until changing the keyboard layout (logitech generic). there was a tilde (~) in the password, but the keyboard was outputting a not sign (¬) instead.
