@lilbud Yeah, the time bonuses do add a bit, I think, and I suspect that the number of "bonus" bubbles you take away also help (i.e. the ones that are hanging from the ones you pop, and are thus removed as well). Unsure if I'm explaining it right.

btw what does that "level-4" at the center bottom of the screen means ? I have the same with lr.mame2003's rom. -
@udb23 Not quite sure, happens on both Bust a Move and Puzzle Bobble.

It's the difficulty. You can change it messing with the dip switches.
