Hmmmmmm interesting, are you using the "restored" version then?
-
Yes. The restored version works fine on retropie.
-
Thanks for the help, I now have 2 versions of cliffhanger (original & restored) I must say that the restored is so much better in video quality than the original, the restored version I found contained 3 versions of the video files
640x480_30i
640x480_24p
640x480_24p_letterboxThank you once again my friend

I've tried before a few months ago, I think Road Blasters gets some sort of fault in Daphne and doesn't work. Check the compatibility lists to be sure but I get the following:
Framefile parse succeeded. Video/Audio directory is: /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/daphne/roadblaster.daphne/./ YUV overlay is done in software (ie unaccelerated). Booting ROM ... MC6850: Master Reset! MC6850: clock set to x32 MC6850: 8 Bits+1 Stop Bits MC6850: /RTS=low, Transmitting Interrupt Disabled MC6850: Recieve Interrupt Enabled Error! write to main rom at a80f Error! write to main rom at f8ec Shutting down sound system... DanteAccording to this https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Hy2VpPXgs4a9imeu0_w3SpehKEkhUNOLzD1jhcgwS3o/htmlview#gid=0 there is currently no working versions of road boasters & badlands in retropie :(
-
Thanx for the info simonster & skj.
I will wait for daphne updates in retropie to be able to play Road Blaster and Badlands.
-
If you want to play Road Blaster at any cost, you can always try the Mega CD version "Road Avenger" it is the same game in 64 colours with most of the content intact.
-
@simonster the psx one is also an option, and has slightly better graphics.

Interesting, I never knew there was a PSX version, I had the original Mega CD release (still have in the loft somewhere!)
-
Thanx again, I have both versions, but the psx version is the best one. The LD version is the better of all, beacause of this I have interest in Daphne version.
Sega Saturn have a good versions too...
Road Blaster is one of my favorite games.

That's amazing but it would be a 6320 Megabit (790 Megabyte) cartridge! The largest SNES cart was 24 Megabit. Can you imagine how much it would have cost to produce in 1995 (even without the cost of the video processor chip)?

@robthedude81 I have tested Trayers quest in my Daphne on hyperspin and the game works fine on pc, but in Rpi3 Daphne I cant put credits to play... I have tried to play with usb keyboard without sucess...
Others games I Have black screen on Daphne Rpi3 and they works normally in my Pc.
I work with a Pc a entire day, because of this I'm prever to use my rpi3 like console in tv screen with joysticks.
