I just finished installing the new retro pi version and the just downloaded few roms to just start. Well I was playing super Mario World and I'm playing on a 60" led Vizio TV but the screen for super Mario World didn't fill the full screen any one got some ideas?

@tmntturtlguy My friend told me to go into retro arch an mess with the settings in there. I found a way to stretch the screen to fit in my 60" TV. I'm also getting this error "failed to fixed mixture elements" it fits the top and bottom of the screen just on the left and right there's nothing but black wish I could take a screen shot and show yall

@anassassinsblade that is how it is supposed to be! Back when these games were created there wasn't such a thing as widescreen tv's. the games aspect ratio is 4:3 and fit a square tv/monitor. You should have black bars on the sides.

you can change aspect ratio to 16:9 via https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Configuration-Editor/ - you can either do it for all libretro emulators (most of the emulators on retropie), or for individual ones.

this will stretch the original (typically 4:3) image, but if that's what you want...
