      Hi!

I adore your themes, they are gorgeous!

I run RetroPie on a 5:4 screen (it's what I had lying around), and your themes breaks a little there. I attached a screenshot showing both problems I found.

I have no idea how much effort it would be to fix this, but I'd be grateful if you tried :)

I'll see what I can do for a future version, unfortunately it takes a bit of time as lots of element have to be tweaked in order to fit a different aspect ratio.

                Hi,

@jdrassa as an automated build that should always up to date https://github.com/jrassa/EmulationStation/releases/tag/continuous

It seems like it's a little behind and missing collections looking at the 51 commits since last release for it.

I'll have to bother @jdrassa about it.

@systemlogoffsa The "51 commits" label is inaccurate. It should have the latest build. The process for updating the release doesn't update the associated tag. I need to look into a way to update that. You are not the first to ask about it.

Ah, thank you. I'm looking forward to using it to make a theme. :)

                      Great theme.
The best case to use for this: The Retroflag NESPi Case for Raspberry.

                      The manufacturing quality is amazing
The actual price is < 20$

@lolo Yeah, my NESPI case just arrived this week and I love that thing. I also have the Tinytendo SNES case, but replaced it with this. So far it's the ultimate case. Seems to stay pretty cool too. The Tinytendo case caused my Pi to overheat while playing Chrono Trigger so I had to install a fan... not happening with the NESPI case, which seems to have better ventilation.

Is the power switch just a toggle?

The Power (Just a kill switch) and the Reset work well.
Even the packaging is pretty. ;)

Now on Amazon some guy sell it to 119€...

                            Pretty cool too this controller.

@hooperre It's not a safe off switch, just a power kill switch, but I have a habit of shutting down from the menu first anyway. I just hate unplugging a Pi to turn it off. Also, the LED light is like the original NES, not blindingly bright like a custom LED on the Tinytendo.

I wonder if you can help me, I'm using an old version of your nes Classic theme v1.2 as a personal preference, I recently updated emulation station to the current version and the theme does not display correctly, I know this was due to a change in the ES update when the carousel was introduced and you made a fix for the current versions of your theme at the time, what do I need to change in the xml files of version 1.2 to display correctly, any help would be much appreciated thank you.

The layout for new version hasn't really changed that much and offers lots more options for resolution, aspect ratio, and the layout. Plus it supports collections. It's really just the carousel that is different (for the better in my opinion). Why did you update EmulationStation if you were happy with the old version of the theme?

You can fix the gamelist by going to the nesmini.xml and replacing the <textlist name="gamelist"> section with:

                                      <textlist name="gamelist">
                                      	<forceUppercase>0</forceUppercase>
                                      	<scrollSound>./sounds/se_sys_cursor.wav</scrollSound>
                                      	<fontPath>./art/NESCyrillic_gamelist.ttf</fontPath>
                                      	<pos>0.2958333333333333 0.2185185185185185</pos>
                                      	<size>0.4083333333333333 0.5481481481481481</size>
                                      	<alignment>left</alignment>
                                      	<horizontalMargin>0.0083333333333333</horizontalMargin>
                                      	<fontSize>0.0592592592592593</fontSize>
                                      	<lineSpacing>1.375</lineSpacing>
                                      	<selectorHeight>0.0592592592592593</selectorHeight>
                                      	<selectorOffsetY>0.0074074074074074</selectorOffsetY>
                                      </textlist>

You'll probably find other things don't work correctly as well though so it's better to use the new version.

Thanks @ruckage thats exactly what I needed to fix the problem I had, the only reason I prefer the older theme is because the boxart section is much bigger, I accidentally updated the rp es then noticed that the gamelist was misaligned, I remember seeing you post something about this before, but that was for the more recent versions of you theme and I wasn't sure if it would work on the older 1.2 version but it did and thank you so much for you help.

Yeah, box art was handled differently originally but you'll find the box art is only bigger for portrait style boxes anyway - for square and landscape style boxes the images size is exactly the same and on the old version that resulted in a lot of wasted space. I originally only made the theme for NES which has portrait box art so it looked ideal for that but as I added more and more systems it wasn't a good option any more.
