RetroPie 4.3 - Y button not recording favorite games (tried 3 diff joysticks)
-
I am unable to add favorites using the Y button on my joystick. I have tried two different types of joysticks.
Neither of which are able to to add a favorite game to the new favorite folder in Retropie 4.3. So Favorites is show but the folder is empty. Both "All Games" and "Last Played" folders work and have games populated in their respective folders. I have tested out the joystick's Y button on Windows 10, both of the two different joysticks have working Y buttons. Any ideas on this? Thank you in advance.Pi Model or other hardware: 2 Model B

@gamer85 If you've updated from an older version of retropie with an older version of emulation station, you'll need to reconfigure your controllers for the new button presses (random, favorite) to work.

Thank you for the reply. All of the joysticlks functions work fine in Retropie - B is back, A is select. Joystick moves between systems. Except the new X and Y buttons. The Logitech Gamepad F710 is simply a plug and play USB joystick. How would I further configure to recognize both the "X" Random Button and the "Y" Favorite Button?

@gamer85 Just bring up the menu in ES to configure controllers and configure them again.

Got it. MAIN Menu >Configure Input> Then follow steps. Thank you.

I am very cautious as to go through the Configure pads because I struggled to have both my 360pad and my Arcade Stick working. Is there a place I can poke/text edit the Y as Favorites button?
Thanx!
