ResidualVM FrameBuffer is not complete
-
Hello all,
EDIT: Resolved as of 9/24/2017. Thanks to whoever fixed this, as well as the mouse input problem in the GUI
I'm using RetroPie 4.2.18 on my Raspberry Pi 3B
I have this installed on top of Raspbian Stretch
I am using a 2.4A power supplyI have included the runcommand.log results of attempting to start the ResidualVM GUI. I don't have any games added at this point. In previous attempts to use ResidualVM, I have ended up at the GUI screen with a small black mouse pointer, unable to interact with anything. This is my first time seeing this error preventing the GUI from loading at all.
Parameters: Executing: bash "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/residualvm/+Start ResidualVM.sh" Using joystick: Logitech Logitech RumblePad 2 USB Framebuffer is not complete! status: 36061!
I will include my most recent installation log. Hopefully someone can understand this better than I can.

Using Raspbian Stretch is not currently supported with RetroPie and while the included packages/emulators can be installed (from source), they aren't 100% functional.
See the https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12354/operating-system-update-raspbian-stretch-is-out/ topic for other experiences. -
I have the same error but using the image of version 4.2 from retropie wesite. It's jessie based. Can anyone help me? I really want to play Grim Fandango... :(

Okay, it seems to be working now. I think the recent (3 days ago) changes fixed the issue. The GUI is loading and accepting my mouse input. I have been able to add Grim Fandango, Escape From Monkey Island, and Myst III: Exile. The RetroPie GitHub setup page says you need to set the graphics menu settings to use software as opposed to OpenGL. However, it does not mention that you also need to press a key at the runcommand prompt to change the emulator from residualvm to residualvm-software.
All three games loaded once I gave them the correct files. I didn't play too far, but here's what I discovered. Grim Fandango looks to be running just fine. Escape From Monkey Island appears to have a good framerate, but I'm not sure the controls are working correctly, particularly with Guybrush's text list of choices. Myst III: Exile loads just fine, but there is major audio stutter, likely due to the FMV components.

Grim fandango is fine but very dark image for me...
