      Sure, but I find it easier to just re-install. Especilly for someone totally unexperienced.

        yeah i like simple...but hey all got to start somewhere am currently downloading retropie and will give it ago.....fingers crossed guys :-)

          @tigerjonny In my opinion it's best to start from the beginning and that's writing a new image. If you need help with it, just shout-out!

            i downloaded this ...that is carrect isnt it

            retropie-4.3-rpi2_rpi3.img file .... 2.09gig

              You haven't stated what Pi you have, but assuming it is a Pi3 (which I think it is from the ARMv7i in the screenshot), this should be fine if downloaded from the official download page (https://retropie.org.uk/download/). How did you install it before?

                i didnt i am just basically looking through a on how to ...currently just getting the files and using etcher to transfer to SD card then to the next step :0)
                was a mate that did it just trying to get my own head round it

                    Actually, to do the reinstall, you don't need to reflash the SD card, you can do the reinstall via the command promp. You need to get into the RetroPie-Setup menu from that in order to do so. But make sure that you have the internet connection enabled already.

                      @barrymossel bloody got to work away for 10 days...bloody typical would likd to try and get my head round some of it....got the retrpie screen on...then got the call...i gather its adding the rom s after that)

                        Yup, setting up the controller(s) and then adding roms (through one of the various ways). https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Transferring-Roms
