Buttons on Controller Exiting ROM.
-
I apologize I am new to RetroPie and Raspberry Pi. But I will provide my hardware information below:
Raspberry Pi 3 Model B
PS4 Controller
64GB Sandisk MicroSD
RetroPie V4.3I have been having issues getting this to run ROM's. At first I could not connect my controller through Bluetooth. But after walking through about 10 different pages online and trial and error I got the wireless function to work and mapped my buttons according to the following setup:
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/RetroArch-Configuration
I can navigate Emulation Station, just fine. However when I boot a ROM and attempt to press a button it typically exits the ROM and loads Emulation Station. I have loaded the settings in RetroArch and the buttons are mapped correctly in RetroArch, but again I just cannot play any games.
Does anyone have any tips? Links to a way to resolve this? Do you need more information?
Thank you for assisting me, I have spent about 5-6 hours on this and just want to load up some ROM's and relax.

May I ask what I was missing so I can provide it? I provided hardware information and my problem.
I looked into the FAQ's and could not find a solution to my problem. I also utilized Google with no help, so I turned to this forum.

@blkkrow This indicates a problem with the emulator or ROM.
What game are you trying to play and what ROM ?
Have you tried looking in /var/shm/runcommand.log to see if any errors appear ? -

I am attempting to run a PSX Game, "Wild Arms". To make sure it wasn't the Rom/Emulator I attempted a SNES game.
