RetroPie launches into configuration screen on first install. Having troubles installing

Hey, I'm pretty new to RetroPie and raspberry pi's in general, but I was hoping someone here can help me. I keep launching into a screen after I set up my keyboard through emulation station. The screen says RetroPie with configuration under it. The official walkthrough video shows it is supposed to launch into a screen with all the emulators. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I appreciate any help or advice I can get and can provide more details if needed. Like I said I'm pretty new to this and am just trying to follow the walkthrough. This is a gift for my bro's birthday that's coming up.

Unless you copy ROMs to the proper folders and restart EmulationStation, that's normal. See https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/#transferring-roms

The video shows it launching to the carousel of emulators once he goes through emulation station for the first time.
