Hi all, is it possible to install older versions of retropie over the top of of the latest version without needing a full reinstall from the beginning and wiping all data? I only want to roll back to what I think was 4.1 but I've done a lot of writes on this sd card and don't want to kill it by writing yet another 50gb every time i screw it up. Thanks for any help.

@clueless downgrading the RetroPie-Setup scripts to 4.1 would be easy, but the binaries wouldn't be as they were when the 4.1 image was released. I'm really sure that if you do this you'll have a lot of issues, then I emphatically do not recommend this action.

Getting a 4.1 image would bring less problems, but looks like you already discarded this option.
