      Hello and good day,

I have retropie 3.8 clean install. I installed the ps3 drives from retropie_setup.sh and I still can't connect. I tried following the instructions after installing the ps3 drivers with the usb cord and still nothing. I looked at my bluetooth status and I get this error :

      bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service
      Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; enabled)
Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Fri 2016-06-24 21:39:23 UTC; 12min ago
      Docs: man:bluetoothd(8)
      Process: 3107 ExecStart=/usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd (code=exited, status=203/EXEC)
      Main PID: 3107 (code=exited, status=203/EXEC)

      Jun 24 21:39:23 retropie systemd[1]: bluetooth.service: main process exited...EC
Jun 24 21:39:23 retropie systemd[1]: Failed to start Bluetooth service.
      Jun 24 21:39:23 retropie systemd[1]: Unit bluetooth.service entered failed ...e.
Hint: Some lines were ellipsized, use -l to show in full.

When I tried starting bluetooth I got this error:

Job for bluetooth.service failed. See 'systemctl status bluetooth.service' and 'journalctl -xn' for details.

all i want to do is connect my ps3 controller to my retropie

      Thank you

PS3 doesn't use the built in bluetooth stack (in fact it disables the built in bluetooth stack).

Do you have an original controller or a clone - can you go through the steps you used to pair it ?

          Hey BuZz,

I did this before on another pi 3 and worked but now I forgot how to man.

Yes it is the original PS3 wireless controller and doesnt require a dongle since im using Retropie 3.8.

I ran the command sudo retropie_setup.sh and went to install the ps3 drivers. Afterwards I went and followed the instructions
where I connected the controller and disconnected it and pressed the middle button to sync. But no luck. I tried installing pi-bluetooth and
          still no luck.

When I run the systemctl status bluetooth

          I get Active: failed ( Result: exit-code) since Fri 2016-06-24 22:06:02 UTC: 15h ago.

          Thanks
