I am using RetroPie 4.3.7 (3928a05) on a X86 PC with Ubuntu 17.10 and Intel HD graphics.

After playing with different CRT shaders I was confused that the Menu Shader Parameters show no options for most of the shaders.

Looking into the hyllian shader file shows a different file content than I was knowing from the RetroArch Windows Shader.

After getting the shaders from the LibRetro repository I was able to use them in RetroPie, also.

Is RetroPie using special optimized shaders for the pi?

it uses a curated subset of the shaders that have been shown to work well or work at all. many shaders in the libretro repo will crash or not work right.
