Hello! So, my Problem is that the DS-Emulator is suddenly gone. I tried reinstalling Drastic a few times now, but the DS-Section just wont appear in my Console-List.

@darkside1305 Have you made a custom es_systems.cfg file recently? (To change the order the emulators appear in in emulation station.)

@darkside1305 Do you have the rom folder (nds) ? Check the /home/pi/.emulationstation/es_log.txt file and perhaps you can spot an error for the folder. Maybe the gamelist.xml is corrupted ?

@darkside1305 Is the nds folder present in the /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg file ? Installing the emulator from the RetroPie setup scripts should add the DS as a system with the nds folder in that file.

@darkside1305 You said you didn't have a custom es_systems.cfg, but it turns out you have one.

@mitu this happens during updates too. That is how i first ended up with it. I never heard of doing this before that. I keep it though so i can arrange my systems how i want.

The /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation is actually the same folder as /home/pi/.emulationstation, the latter being a symlink to the former.

Emulationstation reads the custom file in /home/pi/.emulationstation, then - if the 1st doesn't exist - the default one /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg (installed and maintained by the RetroPie setup script).

I never got any upgrade to ever write a custom ES systems file in that folder, but I'm only using RetroPie since 4.2.0 - so it might have been a problem in the past.
