How to replicate the problem:I am unable to install RetroPie 4.3 on my Raspberry Pi 3. The error message appears to be a common one, but I can't find a good solution. I should also note that I am able to install a NOOBS image without any problem. When I did this I tried the manual installation at https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Manual-Installation/ but it failed at the installation step (sudo ./retropie_setup.sh). It was related to the lack of support for stretch.

As you say, Stretch is not supported at the moment and there's currently no ETA.

@winteriscoming Looks like a mismatched partition - re-format the SD card so there's nothing on it and re-write the image.
