Giana's return: Problem with PS3 controller
-
Hello,
I think I found a possible issue in "Giana's return" using a PS3 controller.
What is the issue?
The issue I got is that I cannot use the left analog stick of my PS3 controller to jump. That means direction "Up" is not working.
But I can use the left analog stick to move to left or right. Also I noticed that direction up and down works if I am still in the menu
and also in the moment when the language is selected (move around to e.g. select the german flag). But if I go to configure
the pad/joystick and it ask's me to make the input for direction up than nothing happens if I push the left analog stick up.
The event/input is not recognized. If I push up on the d-pad of my PS3 controller than that event/input is recognized. What system do I use?
I have Giana's return running on a Rasperry Pi 2 (official RasPi Power-Supply), using Retro Pie. I also updated RetroPie to the latest version 4.3.8 to be sure that it hasn't been fixed already.Any help is appreciated. I also contacted the maintainer listed on the "Giana's return" homepage.
Best Regards,

I got this response from the maintainer:
"We dont support analog sticks as buttons. Joy left right are default. And ps3 has two analogue sticks. Movement works differently in game and in menus.
Use a XBOX360 one or a NES USB.
New updated version will arise soon."
