Question/idea about non-libretro core controller configuration
-
The N64 Github page says the following:
"Starting with RetroPie 3.3 Mupen64Plus configurations are automatically generated when you configure your controller for the first time in emulationstation. "I was wondering if there was a way to take this code and make an entry in the retropie menus that would allow the user to automatically configure the controller configurations for non-libretro emulators based on the currently configured Retroarch controllers. (Maybe using this tool to grab the controller player numbers)
These would be mainly used for the Dreamcast and N64 emulators.Perhaps I would just have to write my own shell script(s) to accomplish this?
Does any one have any input, or ideas about accomplishing this?
I would like to get this done so if I gift a Pi to someone who isn't good with technology they don't have to have to use the command line/SSH into the Pi to edit configuration files.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
