Retropie-setup failed on ubuntu as it is unable to install mupen64plus-GlideN64
-
Hi,
I am new to retropie installation but I am familiar with Linux. I am trying to install retropie on Ubuntu (Lubuntu to be specific but the problem persists on Ubuntu 16.04 as well) by using instructions from:
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/DebianWhile installing, the script fails as it can't install mupen64plus GlideN64 libraries The failure occurs when the script tries to look for libraries in following directory but finds it empty.
./RetroPie-Setup/tmp/build/mupen64plus/GLideN64/projects/cmake/plugin/release
Here is the output of
$ uname -a
Linux retro-Aspire-R3610 4.13.0-21-generic #24-Ubuntu SMP Mon Dec 18 17:29:35 UTC 2017 i686 i686 i686 GNU/LinuxHere is the detailed log of the installation:

Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks

@geekomaniac Somehow the Glide64 plugin doesn't get linked:
[100%] Linking CXX shared library plugin/release/mupen64plus-video-GLideN64.so /usr/bin/ld: i386:x86-64 architecture of input file `/home/retro/RetroPie-Setup/tmp/build/mupen64plus/GLideN64/src/GLideNHQ/lib/libpng.a(png.o)' is incompatible with i386 output ....

Thanks for the response. Yes, I also saw this during installation, however I am not sure what could be going wrong here. Is this script issue or there is some dependency missing?

@geekomaniac Looks like an upstream bug. I suppose you don't have a x86_64 cross-compiler installed ?
