      Is there any way to further theme the RetroAchievements popup text? I've already changed the font, color, size, and position, but I'm talking something like a transparent png file backdrop. Thought it would be fun to have some kind of retro style 8bit popup ala xbox or ps points.

        I think they added support for this stuff in Retroarch 1.7.0 or higher, which isn't available on the Pi right now but I haven't seen it myself so I'm not sure how good it is.
