When I go to the rom folder in the web manager I get this error

*This system requires one or more bios file that are missing from your installation:

      coleco.rom*

Yet when I check the bios folder it shows that bios file in the list of loaded bios.

      So not sure whats up.

@raulitob Did you install the emulator(s) for Coleco games ? Bios files come into play when you try to launch the game, so the system not showing up in Emulationstation is not something related to the bios files.

@mitu I installed the emulator through the retropie web interface.
The bios are installed and showing in the BIOS folder on the web interface.
When I navigate to the Roms folder in the web interface it tells me that it needs the coleco.rom even tho it shows in the BIOS folder in the web interface.
The emulator does not show up in the retropie menu with the other emulators installed.

I just read somewhere that the bios file needs to be in all CAPS so i want to do that but when i SSH into my pie and go to RetroPIe/BIOS/ I don't see a machines folder.
Any idea where else they could be at?

            Thanks

@raulitob If the folder does not exit, you'll have to create it and copy the files there. But this is not why your ROMs don't show up. What web interface are you using ?

@mitu The built in web interface. Retropie was already preinstalled and my other emulators work fine.
So those BIOS have to be somewhere.

@raulitob said in Colecovision has right bios but not showing in menu.:

                    The built in web interface

There is no default web interface that comes with the RetroPie image. Are you sure you're using a RetroPie image and not a 3rd party image ?

@raulitob Retropie manager sucks. It cockblocks you. I use winscp. I use coolcv for coleco as its the best emu for coleco and i dont even have a coleco bios in my bios folder anywhere and it plays fine. Im not sure if it looks for the one in the mame-advmame config folder or not.

@raulitob Check if you have a custom es_systems.cfg in /home/pi/.emulationstation/ and rename it, then restart Emulationstation. If you have the right ROMs in /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/coleco, then the system should show up in Emulationstation.
There is another - actively maintained - web manager for RetroPie, you should check out Webtropie.
