Psx not running games

Hello everyone. For some reason I cannot get my psx emulator to boot games. I am up to date on all versions of emulators and versions of retro pie. My bios is in the right folder. I have about 14 games on my sd card all recognized, all scraped. All have bin and cue files, I have tried transferring in a folder and without a folder with those types of files. My main issue is I go to play the game and it goes to load, and a little icon appears at the top right where it’s almost cut off and cannot read the whole message but it looks like a keyboard button that says “press error” .Please help! :)

@xnilesx just decided to do a clean install to see if that fixes it
