Newbie - PC does not see Retropie on Network (although connected via wifi)

Retropie all setup, running fantasic
I would like to transfer ROMS via wifi
I've done 4 hours of troubleshooting via this website and google
My router sees retropie as a connected wireless device
My PC however does not see it anywhere
tried to map new drive..nope
tried to connect via IP address..nope
Help please :) -

How to replicate the problem: -
@ehindy Does your router allow wireless devices to see each other ? Does
ping
from the Win10 to theretropie
works ? Open a command prompt on the PC and executeping retropie
Do you get a response ?

@ehindy Do you have samba enabled? That's what makes it pop up on your network. I rather use a client to transfer like winscp or flashfxp. If you wish to go that route, enable ssh in raspi-config and insert the pi's ip with port 22 and login/pass of pi/raspberry in client.
