        @montyfranklyn The last screenshot would have been enough. It looks like you have an older version of RetroPie and you updated only Emulationstation (?), which is now not starting anymore ? It's just a guess since you didn't describe what you did before this error appears.

        Update the RetroPie installation again just as the docs specify

        • Update the RetroPie script first
        • Update then all the installed packages (from binary)
        • When asked, update the OS packages also
        • Reboot

          @mitu I think I did it backwards. I updated the scripts after updating to the latest version. Is there a way to fix this or should I just buy a new SD card and start over? Or just delete everything off the SD card and start over?

            @montyfranklyn Run a full update again from binary for all packages. If you still get the error, post again.
