This forum: notifications died on me

Hi,

I have both the "watch" boxes ticked in my settings, but for some reason, I don't get any notifications anymore!

I have tried different devices and different browsers, but my notifictions list is empty apart from one off last week, and no new seems to pop up, even though I'm following many threads that have been new posts on.

Very frystrating - help?

@andershp Funny. I have NEVER had notifications. EDIT: Wait, I misread your post. I do get an indicator on the little bell icon, but I never get notified per se. I need to come to the site. I suppose mine is working fine. Sorry to hear you are having problems.

I've been having major problems with this over the last few weeks. Periodically it seemed in the past like notifications weren't triggering but these dry spells have been much longer.

@andershp it happens to me as well sometimes though it isn't consistent.

@andershp Same for me. I no longer receive notifications on threads I am a part of or watching. Been about a month since my last notification.

Take this thread as an example: I've gotten 1 notification, and that is @Hyruleslink upvoting my post. That's it. Normally I'd get notifications about thread replies also.

@caver01 I am talking about the bell icon, it used to be my goto thing when I logged on. Now it's dead.

@BuZz is this something you can help with?

Just to be sure, is the setting for notify "When a new reply is posted in a topic you are watching " enabled, in addition to enable watching of "topic you create" and "topics you reply to" ?
This combo box choice was modified a few weeks ago for me.

Notifications seem to be working fine for me. I would need to be able to reproduce an issue to report it upstream to nodebb.

Same for me too. I no longer receive notifications on threads I am a part of or watching.
I was about a month since my last notification :(

Thanks for the info, personal mentions and new posts in thread you are watching was turned off, which makes zero sense to me . Why bother use the "watch" button if it doesn't give you notifications?

These settings must have been altered globally lately, and I really think these default values should be "yes".

The settings were changed for me as well. I wonder why this only happened to some people. I've never touched these settings before today. Seems like a glitch of some kind.

@sano I have both checkbox enabled in the "Watch" section and all the dropdown set to "notification only" but I still miss many notifications since 2 days.

What's going on ? It's really inconsistent, sometimes I get the notifications, sometimes I don't and have no idea why.
