It turns out that the GPi uses the "windowed" version of the settings, so I needed to add the following to /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg

menu_widget_scale_auto = "false" menu_widget_scale_factor_windowed = "2.75"

For what it's worth I had actually stumbled on this setting when messing around but I set the non-windowed value (because it's full screen... I assumed that meant it wasn't windowed) and when that didn't fix it I moved on.

@mitu I almost would rule out any addons anyway, since it also happens to me in Chromium without any addons.

It certainly is strange that it happens to me frequently with two different browsers. I can't imagine such an effect having anything to do with my OS or router.

@jonnykesh That only happens on Facebook.

@sano I have both checkbox enabled in the "Watch" section and all the dropdown set to "notification only" but I still miss many notifications since 2 days.

What's going on ? It's really inconsistent, sometimes I get the notifications, sometimes I don't and have no idea why.
