Zero w won’t boot to ES goes straight to Retropie cmd
-
Pi zero w. Load image, intro video plays then goes to Retropie command line(like when you press f4 in ES). No WiFi no updating script,no ssh,no updating and worst of all...no playing. Tried cd RetroPie-Setup, get to WiFi it gives me 2 choices, 0 and hidden network. No I don’t have a hidden network. If I could get to ES I could use the menus to connect to WiFi,but I can’t. “Type in emulationstation”, I know. That puts me right back at command line. The image works on my pi 3. I’m lost. 3 days in and I’m,let’s say not happy. What about making sure the keyboard and WiFi are set to U.S. yeah,I did that too. Perhaps writing my own wifikey.text,nope. How about the wpa option instead...nope. Now that that’s out of the way,is there a command that will take me in terminal straight to enter my WiFi creds? Or perhaps a terminal command straight to ES? Hope someone can help me solve this. Thanks in advance.

@nastytone can you take a pic of the commandline screen so we can see the error message at the top of the screen?

@nastytone also you can use raspi-config to setup wifi I believe.
