      Hey guys.

I already did a search but came up empty here.

I'm using a Raspberry Pi 2 with a cleanly installed Retropie v3.7 from the very start.

I got my first few achievements tonight using the Super Nintendo emulator.

This made me smile a little. :)

However, when I tried the Nintendo emulator earlier, I got some message saying that "This core doesn't support achievements".

The emulator I used by default was lr-fceumm, I even double checked, so I'm not quite sure why I received such an error.

According to the Wiki, it should work just fine.
      https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/RetroAchievements

      Any suggestions?

Would I get that error if it wasn't a supported rom I tried to play for the emu?

The game was Super Mario Bros 1 and there's probably many versions available.

Perhaps maybe the emulator was packaged wrong with the 3.7 release?

Other than these two thoughts, I can't think of anything I've done wrong.

Also, the additional text on the screen for achievements is so small and difficult to read with my set of eyes.

Is there a way to change the font size and perhaps the position where they appear?

I wouldn't mind at all if the text was like 4 times bigger than it is by default.

      Cheers.

@Addison I had this issue when using 3.7 (as reported here), and it was solved. You just have to update your lr-fceumm using the retropie_setup and it'll work! ;-)

Since many users ask for instructions on how to increase the font size of the RetroArch messages, I added it on the RetroAchievements wiki:

@meleu thank you. That makes seeing your achievements so much easier.

              Thank you Meleu!

I found that changing the font to 48 was perfect for my eyes.

Man, I must be getting old. :)

              One more thing please.

If I would like my friends and family to also share in the Retroachievements feature, what would be the simplest way of logging in each time with a different profile?

I would need a retroarch.cfg for each person, yes?

What would be an easy way to select which one to use?

              Cheers.

@Addison yeah man... you have to edit retroarch.cfg manually.

I was working on way to manage retroachievements accounts on RetroPie, and then I've got more focused on implementing more features to the joystick-selection utility...

                Maybe later...

Is retroachievements still in the very early beta stages for Super Nintendo?

In Kirby's Dream Course, nothing registered for a hole in one, I also received an award for getting silver on a course when I had only gotten bronze.

Super Mario World shows no achievements to be earned and in my Retroachievements history, it says that it's a bad rom. The same game works just fine on my PC along with earning achievements.

Super Punchout! States that this game has no achievements to be earned.

I'm using lr-armsnes, but in the Retroarch menu, it shows up as Pocketnes for some reason. Weird.

I tried using lr-Snes9x-next but that didn't fair any different when it came to compatibility or recognizing achievements.

All of my Snes emulator binaries are current so I'm not sure what else I can do on this.

                      Yes. And for NES too.

Megadrive is the only I have nothing to complain.

I started a thread there to discuss these issues:

Is there anybody else here currently experiencing problems with the RetroAchievements?

It seems to be a RetroArch problem, beause I can't get it working even in my Android...

FYI, if you end up using Floobs awesome borders, have a read of this. I've tweaked the font size and position to fit the screen properly

Just gave it a quick go and it's triggering/reporting achievements with lr-fceumm on my 4.0.2 install.

Are you used to use savestates? I see your achievements are all "softcore".

I use save states to practice difficult areas before I make a full run on allotted lives/single life. I've been meaning to write a script that would enable/disable states alongside achievements that I can quickly access and then reset my achievements to hardcore, but I haven't got around to it yet.

                                      Hi.

Do you have a compatibility page that stays updated with Retroachievements?

I've been really hoping for Super Mario World and Super Punch Out to be supported.

                                      Thanks.

But I didn't find enough time to keep it up to date...

Super Mario World is surely supported! I earned some cheevos for this game. Keep in mind that you must use the same ROM as the achievements creator used.

I use the default RetroPie 4 SNES emulator for raspi2: lr-snes9x-next.
About the ROM version: I'm not at home now, but they usually talk about it in retroachievements.org, in the specific game achievements list page. ;-)

                                            edit: in my raspi1 I use lr-armsnes.
