@horaceandspider i have reead the wiki relevant sections.
In the Amiberry menu i see DragonRis USB controler and [N] it is just a generic USB game controller board with a Sanwa Joystick and 8 arcade style buttons. I went to the Amiberry GUI and changed the input to Retroarch controller for one game but on the "customised controls" menu then i get "not a valid input controller joystick" when i do that and [.] is empty and the joystick won't respond at all. When i revert back to the "DragonRis" controller the joystick and fire button work but i have the same issue of not being able to quit the game back to the emulator.
      What should i do?

My retroarch setup is ok as the hotkey combination works for arcade mame in the same build same pi.

Btw for some reason even though i did the amiberry build from source yesturday i just realaised i go v2.20 and in the istructions @HoraceAndSpider wiki u posted earlyer it is mentioned that "from v2.5 onwards...." could that be the issue ? How do i update Amiberry ? If i do sudo apt get update and upgrade will that work ?
Also i have not updated my Retropi for cuple of months could that be part of the issue too?
I was afraid to update everithing in case i loose my setup, will i?

right, this explains it... the latest fix which helps DragonRise controllers is v2.21 - this is a development version only at the moment, but I will ask Dimitris when this is likely to be rolled out to the release branch.

The 2.5 you mentioned i think is a typo.

@horaceandspider in the meanwhile is there a workaround that you can suggest by editing a part for the code perhaps ? Maybe i can create a .uae file and define a button of my existing setup to perform quit ? But would nedd a bit of direction on how to.

@horaceandspider Is this normal that every time game is launched from the ES, a controller has to be selected fromthe Amiberry GUI?
I have DualShock 4 and little keyboard with touch pad connected to my Pi (3B+ running latest RPie 4.4). Both work in the ES and other Retroarch and stand alone emulators. In Amiberry, each time I start a game (LHA packed games using WHDLoad feature) I have to enter Amiberry's GUI (using F12 on the keyboard) and then manually select controller for port 1. After that controller works in game and key combination can be used to access GUI.
Is it possible to have mouse selected for port 0 and controller for port 1 of Amiga when games are launched from the ES?

@horaceandspider Have you had a chance to look at North and South? I can open an issue at the Github if you prefer.

@adriansos666 glad you fixed it. I would recmmend you have a look at the Amiberry WIKI for tips on how to use the hostprefs.conf which would help you with this, should you want specific tweaks for mouse/pad etc.

@Mr-Spoc I havent been able to catch up with Dimitris for a few days. There are instructions on the WIKI for how to install Amiberry Development version however, if you would like to build your own binary.

@ dudleydes what was the N&S problem again?

Apologies for slow replies, i have been taking a break from Amiberry coding to work on an Amiga game i am hoping to develop in the future instead... occassionally we all need to branch out to other projects to keep our brains fresh!!

@horaceandspider Of the 30 or so games I've tried, North and South is the only one that doesn't load using WHDLoad auto-booting.

Checking the debug script, I get the message DOS-Error #205 (object not found) on reading "Disk.1".

These are the Kickstart roms I have in the BIOS folder.

                          pi@retropie:~/RetroPie/BIOS $ ls | grep -i kick
                          kick34005.A500.RTB

Here are the files I have tried:

Thanks. hostprefs.conf was actually first place I started to look. Thanks for excellent set of features put in Amiberry as it is always nice to see that Amiga is still alive.

I have an odd issue with Amiberry and Sega Saturn Adapter by Mayflash, recognized like Ouija. It's impossible to navigate on menu emulator via controller as it register a double input instead of single digit. Any idea how i could resolve this problem?

@mr-spoc In the RetroPie setup script where you first installed Amiberry, there should be an option to Update from source.

All how do i run Skyscraper by Lars Muldjord just for the Amiberry module please ?
I have amiberry running on retropie and i have all my mame arcade games scraped already using Skyscraper so i want to run Skyscraper again but only for my Amiberry suported Amiga games and not having to spend ages scraping all my games from all emulators all over again.
                                            Thanks
